Gildeas solicitors were instructed to investigate a claim arising from an incident which occurred when a client tripped and sustained an injury in a street in Glasgow city centre.

The City Council were asked to produce information about the area where the incident occurred and refused. Gildeas were forced to apply for a court order forcing the Council to produce whatever information was held and won. The Council refused to accept that decision and lodged an appeal to the Sheriff Principal in Glasgow, where Gildeas won again.

The City Council now have to provide the information originally requested and pay the costs of the court action too.
