Gildeas is a fast paced, independent and modern law firm with offices in central Glasgow and
Edinburgh. We specialise in pursuer personal injury. We are currently looking to recruit for Claims Handlers/Paralegals.

At Gildeas, we offer an exciting and challenging environment build a future career in law. You
will be fully supervised and supported. You will gradually build up your own file list and have
your own clients.

You will learn how to:

• Conduct claims from start to finish, including investigating liability and intimating claims
• Take statements from witnesses; instruct and liaise with expert witnesses; prepare cases for litigation
• Correspond with insurance companies/solicitors/courts
• How to negotiate settlements or, if required, to draft court documents and assist our litigation team in progressing cases through the court process.
• You will have the opportunity to develop your customer care skills and develop rapport with
  clients/witnesses.

There is scope to become a qualified/ Law Society accredited paralegal.

The successful candidate will be interested in claims/court work, value customer experience, be able to work as an individual and as part of a team and be an effective communicator.

The positions are full time and based in our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, commencing 2024.
